The foundations behind character growth and combat
A player-facing look at the systems documented in the prototype, what they could mean for an adventure, and what still needs to come together for the MVP.
Prototype note: This describes documented systems work. It is not footage of a finished or publicly playable feature.
What is in the prototype
The project checklist records character attributes, experience, levels and mastery progression alongside melee and spell combat, projectiles, area effects, barriers, blocking and combat feedback. Creature behavior includes aggro, roaming, chasing, leashing and respawning.
Why it matters to a player
These systems are the ingredients for tactical encounters and character growth. The long-term goal is for practice, preparation and equipment choices to shape how an adventurer approaches the world.
What comes next
The MVP still needs to connect these foundations into one playable loop: explore a starting region, fight creatures, gain experience, find loot and make useful upgrades. The checklist also calls out content, saving, death and respawn flow, and polish as unfinished work.
